Sierra Nevada Communications is determined to bring you the very best experience possible with all of our services.
Many of our customers including our company have been impacted by PG&E's Public Safety Power Shutoff program. For more information about PG&E’s program, refer to their official website; pge.com
PG&E defines the reason for these power shutoffs as:
"For public safety, it may be necessary for us to turn off electricity when gusty winds and dry conditions, combined with a heightened fire risk, are forecasted. This is called a “Public Safety Power Shutoff” or “PSPS.” While customers in high fire-threat areas are more likely to be affected, any of PG&E’s more than 5 million electric customers could have their power shut off. This is because the energy system relies on power lines working together to provide electricity across cities, counties and regions."
Sierra Nevada Communications has in place emergency preparedness plans to deal with different power outage scenarios, to minimize the impact of your services.
Our main locations have automatic standby generators. Our smaller locations in the field need to have small generators delivered, installed and maintained during these outage events, and requires service attention every 8-12 hours. We apologize for any visual or audio inconveniences these generators may create. These plans are in place to respond accordingly to these outages. We strive to deliver our full services to your business and residence.
